About the role:
The Accounts Executive will be responsible for managing Accounts Receivable (AR), customer collections, reconciliations, and statutory compliance (GST/TDS). The role involves day-to-day accounting in ERP, timely reporting, and ensuring smooth coordination with internal teams, banks, and auditors to support efficient cash flow management.
Key Responsibilities:
Book customer receipts and knock-off JVs in ERP accurately.
Maintain records of customer-wise collection receipts and advance payments.
Monitor unapplied cash and perform customer ledger reconciliations.
Interact with internal stakeholders to resolve outstanding payment issues.
Prepare and maintain bad debts schedule, track invoices, and pass JVs.
Generate and analyze AR ageing reports within defined timelines.
Highlight overdue customers and escalate as per company policy.
Coordinate with banks for resolution of receipt-related discrepancies.
Support line manager in preparing financial reports and during month-close.
Assist in internal and external audit requirements and provide necessary data.
Required Skills Set:
Strong knowledge of Accounting Principles (AR, JVs, Reconciliations).
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Hands-on experience with GST, TDS, and Indian taxation compliance.
Advanced skills in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Reconciliation tools).
Good understanding of financial reporting and AR ageing analysis.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Effective communication and coordination abilities.
Nice-to-Have (Preferred):
Experience in multinational or manufacturing industry (preferred).
Knowledge of automation tools or Power BI for reporting.
Prior exposure to internal/external audit support activities.
Experience in handling large customer base and high transaction volume.
Ability to work under tight deadlines during month/quarter-end closures.
Strong stakeholder management and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
