Quality Control Engineer

Position Title: Senior QA/QC Engineer

Department: Quality Assurance & Quality Control

Location: Mumbai

Reporting To: QA/QC Manager / Plant Head / Director

Number of Positions: 01

Experience Required: Minimum 5–7 years in QA/QC function (preferably in piping, tubes, and fittings manufacturing industry).

Educational Qualification: - B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and monitor QA/QC procedures in line with industry standards.

2. Ensure compliance with ASME, ASTM, ISO, and other applicable codes & standards.

3. Inspect raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods for quality adherence.

4. Review and approve material test certificates (MTC), welding procedures, and inspection reports.

5. Conduct dimensional and visual inspections of piping, fittings, and fabricated components.

6. Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies and clients for quality approvals.

7. Maintain documentation of quality plans, inspection reports, calibration records, and NCRs.

8. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions for quality issues.

9. Train and guide junior QC engineers/inspectors on standards and procedures.

10. Support audits (internal, external, and client) and ensure readiness for certifications.

Qualification & Skills:

·         B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

·         Strong knowledge of ASME, ASTM, API, ISO standards related to piping & fittings/Flange/Metal sheet/Plate.

·         Hands-on experience in QA/QC documentation, WPS, PQR, and welding inspection & Other required Documentation.

·         Familiar with NDT methods (RT, UT, PT, MT). LEVEL 2

·         Proficiency in MS Office and QA/QC reporting tools.

·         Strong communication and coordination skills.

Salary Range: ₹30,000 – ₹50,000 per month (based on qualification & experience).

·         Experience in piping/fittings/steel fabrication manufacturing industry is mandatory.

·         Ability to lead QA/QC team and interact with clients/inspectors.

·         Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.

·         Willingness to work in plant/manufacturing setup.
