• Repairs and Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance tasks (oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, tune-ups) and carry out complex repairs or component overhauls as needed.

• Quality and Safety Checks: Verify that all repairs meet safety and manufacturer standards and conduct test drives or functional tests after repairs to ensure proper vehicle performance.

• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and legible records of all work performed, parts used, and hours spent on job cards and reports.

• Customer Interaction: Assist service advisors by explaining technical issues in simple terms to customers and addressing their queries or complaints professionally.

• Workshop Management: Keep the workspace, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and safe, following all safety procedures.

• Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest Mahindra vehicle models, technical bulletins, and workshop procedures through formal training sessions.

• Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other technicians, engineers, and workshop management to resolve complex technical issues. 

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.

• Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues efficiently and independently.

• Tool Proficiency: Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and specialized machinery relevant to automotive repair.

• Communication Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.

• Experience/Education: Typically requires a minimum of an ITI or Government Diploma and relevant professional experience as an automobile technician (often 1-3 years, depending on the role level).

• Licenses: A valid driving license is usually required for conducting test drives.

• Physical Fitness: The role often requires physical fitness to operate heavy machinery and perform hands-on work in a workshop environment.
