Job Title: Home Cook

Location: Residential Home

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable, hygienic, and experienced Home Cook to prepare healthy and delicious meals for a family. The ideal candidate should be able to cook a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and ensure proper food hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks as per the family's preferences.

• Cook a variety of Indian dishes (North Indian, South Indian, and other cuisines as required).

• Prepare vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals.

• Plan daily and weekly menus in consultation with the family.

• Purchase groceries and kitchen supplies (if required).

• Ensure proper storage of food items and maintain freshness.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, utensils, and cooking equipment.

• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.

• Manage kitchen inventory and inform the employer about grocery requirements.

• Prepare meals for guests during family gatherings when required.

• Handle kitchen appliances safely and responsibly.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a home cook or professional cook.

• Good knowledge of Indian cuisine; knowledge of continental or Chinese cuisine is an added advantage.

• Ability to cook according to dietary requirements (low oil, diabetic, high-protein, etc.).

• Good personal hygiene and cleanliness.

• Honest, trustworthy, punctual, and well-mannered.

• Ability to work independently.

• Only non-smoker candidates will be considered. Applicants who smoke or consume tobacco products are not eligible for this position.

Preferred Requirements

• Basic education preferred.

• Police verification preferred.

• Health/Fitness certificate (if available).

• Valid ID proof.
