Senior Associate/Associates  – Debt Syndication

Role Description

·         Product Knowledge

o   Thorough knowledge of entire range of commercial/corporate banking products

o   Handle asset products like working capital facilities, project finance, term loans, structured finance, etc.

·         Technical Aspects

o   Thorough analysis of financial statements for risk assessment from lending perspective

o   Evaluation of business model and other aspects for credit facilities

o   Preparation of CMA data/projections and project reports

o   Submission of detailed proposals to banks/financial institutes as per prescribed formats

o   To handle the entire gamut of pre and post sanction activities including project evaluation/appraisal, preparation of term sheets/legal documents and negotiation thereof with the clients, assistance in security creation until the loan disbursement stage

o   To keep self and the team informed on the relevant regulatory, legal and compliance guidelines

·         Client Handling

o   Interact with clients to coordinate for requirement assimilation and data collection for completion of various reports to be submitted to financial institutions/banks

o   Handle financial and other queries from banks/financial institutions to facilitate sanction of credit facilities

o   Follow up with bank officials to ensure compliance and completion of various processes till sanction and disbursement of proposed facilities

Candidate Profile

·         Work Experience

o   Candidate should have worked for 2-4 years on debt syndication desk in Financial Advisory Firms/Financial Institutions (e.g. SBI Caps, IDBI Caps, Money Matters Financial Services Ltd, Pioneer Investcorp Limited, Blend Finance, Capital Square Advisors, etc.)

o   Should have handled debt syndication of atleast  Rs. 500-700 Crores

o   Should have handled atleast 8 – 10 client relationships

o   Should have worked closely with atleast 5 – 6 banks/financial institutions

·         Qualification & Soft Skills

o   CA or MBA from reputed institutions

o   Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

o   Comfortable with people engagement and strong persuasive skills

o   Analytical bent of mind with good time management, planning and coordination skills
