We are looking for a PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) Technician for a reputed automobile company in Siliguri, who will be responsible for carrying out comprehensive inspections, quality checks, and minor adjustments on new vehicles before delivery to customers. The role ensures that each vehicle meets the company’s quality, safety, and performance standards and is in perfect condition for handover.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on new vehicles as per manufacturer and company guidelines.

2. Inspect vehicles for mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic issues prior to delivery.

3. Conduct road tests to identify any abnormalities or defects.

4. Check and top-up all fluid levels (engine oil, coolant, brake fluid, windshield washer, etc.).

5. Verify and ensure proper installation of accessories and equipment.

6. Perform minor repairs or adjustments as required before delivery.

7. Ensure battery charging, tire pressure, and alignment are within specified limits.

8. Inspect vehicle body for paint finish, dents, scratches, and cleanliness.

9. Maintain detailed inspection reports and documentation of all work performed.

10. Coordinate with the Service Advisor / Quality Control Team to report and rectify detected issues.

11. Ensure workshop cleanliness and safety compliance during all operations.

12. Support vehicle delivery preparation, including washing, polishing, and final detailing.

13. Adhere to OEM standards, company SOPs, and safety regulations.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of automobile systems and components.

• Ability to identify and diagnose minor mechanical and electrical issues.

Educational Qualification:

ITI / Diploma in Automobile Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.

Experience:

1–3 years of experience as a PDI Technician, Service Technician, or similar role in an automobile dealership or workshop.
