We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented IT Technician / Network Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer hardware, software, and network systems to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, technical knowledge, and excellent customer service skills.
Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop systems.
Troubleshoot system errors and network issues.
Maintain inventory of IT assets and software licenses.
Set up and maintain LAN/WAN networks, routers, switches, and firewalls.
Monitor network performance and optimize uptime and reliability.
Assist with implementing network security measures (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, antivirus, etc.).
Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi problems and VoIP disruptions.
Perform routine maintenance and updates on servers and systems.
Maintain backups and recovery systems.
Assist with user account management (e.g., Active Directory, Microsoft 365).
Support deployment of new IT infrastructure and rollouts.
Document support procedures and configurations.
Maintain logs of technical issues and resolutions.
Generate reports on system performance and outages as needed.
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
1–3+ years of experience in an IT support or network technician role.
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Cisco CCNA are preferred.
Proficient with Windows and/or Mac operating systems.
Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
Experience with network hardware (routers, switches, access points).
Familiarity with remote desktop tools, ticketing systems, and IT documentation tools.
Basic understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Customer-service oriented mindset.
May require lifting of equipment (up to 50 lbs.).
On-call or after-hours support may be required.
May involve occasional travel between office locations or data centers.
