Shop Keeper

We are looking for an Aquarium Shopkeeper who will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our store Sea & River specializing in fish and related supplies. This role combines retail sales, customer education on fish care, and hands-on maintenance of aquatic livestock and systems.

Core Responsibilities

• Livestock Care: Feeding fish and invertebrates, monitoring the health of aquatic life, identifying diseases, treating sick fish, and conducting quarantine procedures.

• Aquarium Maintenance: Cleaning display tanks, performing regular water changes, testing water quality parameters (pH, ammonia, nitrates), and servicing filtration/lighting systems.

• Customer Service & Sales: Assisting customers in selecting fish, plants, and equipment; advising on tank setup, compatibility, and maintenance; and processing transactions via POS systems.

• Store Operations: Unboxing and acclimating new livestock shipments, restocking shelves, cleaning the store, and keeping displays organized.

• Specialized Duties: Fragging and organizing corals, setting up tanks for clients, and sometimes creating social media content or videos.
  
  Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous retail experience is preferred, with 1-3 years of experience in aquarium maintenance or as a Shop Keeper.

  • Availability to work weekends and holidays, as these are busy times for retail.
    

• It is a Full Time Retail / Counter Sales job for candidates with 6 months - 3 years of experience.
