Position Overview:
Athena is looking for a creative, patient, and passionate Art Session Teacher to conduct engaging art workshops and sessions for our students/patients. The role requires an individual who can inspire creativity, encourage self-expression, and provide a safe and supportive environment for participants to explore different forms of art.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct structured and interactive art sessions (painting, drawing, craft, and other creative activities).
Develop lesson plans and activity ideas tailored to the age group and needs of participants.
Foster creativity, imagination, and confidence in students through hands-on art activities.
Encourage therapeutic and expressive use of art for stress relief and emotional well-being.
Maintain session records, attendance, and progress notes where required.
Ensure art supplies and materials are available, organized, and used safely.
Collaborate with other staff members to integrate art into broader therapeutic/educational programs.
Promote a positive, inclusive, and motivating environment for all participants.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Fine Arts, Art Education, or related field (preferred).
Prior experience in teaching art or conducting creative workshops.
Strong artistic skills across different mediums (painting, sketching, craft, etc.).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt sessions to varying skill levels.
Knowledge of therapeutic or expressive art techniques (preferred, not mandatory).
