Job Description – Business Development Executive (B2B & B2C)

Location: Chennai
Experience: 2+ Years
Salary: Up to 5 LPA
Department: Sales

Overview:

We are hiring a Business Development Executive with strong experience in B2B & B2C business development, especially within the academic sector. The candidate must have a solid network with Engineering colleges, Non-Engineering colleges, Schools, and Corporate organizations. This is a field-based role involving regular visits, client meetings, and relationship building.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Market Research & Strategy:

  • Identify business opportunities in the academic and corporate sectors.

  • Develop strategies to increase revenue and market presence.

  • Stay updated on market trends, competitors, and challenges.

2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:

  • Target and acquire clients from Engineering Colleges, Non-Engineering Colleges, Schools, and Corporates.

  • Build relationships with key decision-makers and institutional heads.

  • Promote and present company products/services effectively.

3. Field Visits & Networking:

  • Regular field visits to institutions for meetings and follow-ups.

  • Attend academic events, seminars, and conferences for lead generation.

  • Use existing network to generate new business opportunities.

4. Sales & Revenue Growth:

  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.

  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals.

  • Negotiate and close deals to meet business objectives.

5. Client Support & Follow-up:

  • Provide post-sales support and ensure smooth onboarding.

  • Maintain long-term relationships through regular follow-ups.

6. Reporting & Coordination:

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions.

  • Prepare reports on sales performance and market insights.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure proper service delivery.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in Business Development (preferably academic sector).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.

  • Strong network within academic institutions (mandatory).

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage field activities.

  • Proficiency in MS Office & CRM tools.
