The Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven insights, conducting industry research, preparing financial models, and supporting the management team in strategic decision making.
The ideal candidate will combine analytical rigor with strong business acumen to deliver actionable intelligence and enhance SimplyBiz’s advisory offerings.
1. Business Analysis & Strategy Support •
Conduct business analysis across service lines and verticals, identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities. • Support leadership in strategy formulation through structured analysis and presentations. • Evaluate business performance metrics (ARR, CRR, CAC, churn, margins) and provide insights.
2. Research & Industry Reports • Prepare detailed industry research reports covering market size, competitive landscape, regulatory changes, and sectoral opportunities. • Track emerging trends in startups, GCCs, M&A, and transaction advisory domains. • Prepare benchmarking studies for clients to support fundraising and growth strategies. 3. Financial Models & Valuations • Develop financial models including revenue projections, cost analysis, and profitability assessments. • Assist in valuation exercises, due diligence, and transaction advisory support. • Build scenario analysis and sensitivity models for client projects.
4. Client & Internal Support • Prepare investor decks, board-level presenentations.
Support Transaction Advisory, Entity Management, and Compliance teams with research driven insights. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Compliance, Marketing) to provide data for MIS reports.
Key Performance Measures Quality and timeliness of research reports and business analysis. Accuracy and robustness of financial models. Contribution to client deliverables and investor/board presentations. Insights generated for strategy formulation and decision-making.
Ideal Profile & Key Skills Experience: 2–4 years of experience in business analysis, research, consulting, or financial modelling (internships/projects can also be considered for fresher MBAs).
Education (Must): MBA in Strategy, Business Analysis, or Finance from a reputed institution.
Industry: Preferably from professional services (Accounting firms, law firms, business consulting firms, wealth management firms or tech-enabled compliance platforms) Skills (Must): •
Tools & Technology: Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, Power BI, financial research databases is an advantage. • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret financial statements, data sets, and industry reports.
