Phlebotomist - Home Collection

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and customer-friendly Home Collection Phlebotomist to collect blood and other specimens from patients at their homes. The role requires strong technical abilities, punctuality, and excellent communication skills to ensure accurate sample collection and a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit patient locations for blood and sample collection as per scheduled appointments.

• Verify patient identity and explain the sample collection process.

• Collect blood, urine, stool, and other diagnostic samples using proper techniques.

• Label and document samples accurately to avoid errors.

• Ensure safe handling, storage, and timely transportation of samples to the laboratory.

• Maintain hygiene, follow safety protocols, and use PPE appropriately.

• Provide excellent customer service and address patient queries.

• Manage digital/physical records and update collection status.

• Use mobile apps or devices for appointment updates (if applicable).

Requirements

• Diploma / Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology or Phlebotomy.

• Prior experience in phlebotomy or home collection preferred.

• Good knowledge of venipuncture and sample handling.

• Own two-wheeler and valid driving licence (preferred).

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to handle elderly, pediatric, and anxious patients with care.

Work Schedule

• Morning collections (primary) + additional visits as required.

• Rotational weekends or flexible availability as per company norms.
