Job Summary:
The QC Executive will be responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of herbal raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods. With 2 years of experience in the herbal industry, the candidate will contribute to maintaining high standards of product integrity and regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities:
· Conduct routine quality checks on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished herbal products.
· Perform analytical testing (physical, chemical, and microbiological) as per SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
· Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO, and AYUSH/FSSAI standards.
· Prepare and maintain QC documentation including COAs, batch records, and deviation reports.
· Collaborate with production and R&D teams to resolve quality issues.
· Monitor stability studies of herbal formulations and report findings.
· Assist in vendor qualification and raw material approval processes.
· Support audits (internal, external, and regulatory) by providing required QC documentation.
Required Skills & Competencies
· Strong knowledge of herbal raw materials, phytochemicals, and botanical extracts.
· Familiarity with analytical techniques (HPLC, UV-Vis, TLC, GC, etc.).
· Understanding of regulatory requirements (AYUSH, FSSAI, WHO-GMP).
· Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
· Good communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, or related field.
· Minimum 2 years of QC experience in the herbal/nutraceutical industry
