Role Overview
The Blue-Collar Field Recruiter will be responsible for end-to-end recruitment of skilled and unskilled workforce (welders, fitters, fabricators, machine operators, helpers, etc.) for Pennar Industries’ manufacturing units. This role will focus heavily on field sourcing, vendor coordination, recruitment drives, worker onboarding, and ensuring manpower availability as per production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct field hiring drives to source skilled workers from industrial belts, ITIs, training institutes, and local communities.
Build and manage a network of manpower contractors, local agencies, technical training centers, and consultants.
Screen candidates for trade skills, certifications, work experience, and eligibility to company standards.
Coordinate trade tests, interviews, and medical checks for selected candidates.
Maintain manpower pipelines for urgent and future requirements (project-based & permanent roles).
Track attendance and ensure smooth joining, onboarding, and documentation compliance (ID proofs, bank account, PF, ESIC, etc.).
Maintain MIS and recruitment dashboards for daily/weekly hiring status and productivity metrics.
Ensure adherence to statutory labor compliance and ethical hiring practices.
Support workforce retention initiatives, grievance handling, and employee welfare coordination.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Graduate / Diploma preferred (Technical background is a plus).
2–6 years of experience in blue-collar hiring in steel, fabrication, infrastructure, EPC, or industrial manufacturing setups.
Strong sourcing experience from field channels — ITIs, local markets, contractor networks, rural sourcing.
Knowledge of statutory HR/labor compliance (PF, ESI, onboarding documents).
Good communication and negotiation skills in local languages.
Willingness to travel extensively and work at plant locations.
