The Factory Helper will assist in daily laundry operations, including handling, sorting, washing, drying, ironing, folding, and packaging of garments and linens. This role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to hygiene and safety standards to ensure smooth workflow within the laundry unit.
Assist in sorting and tagging of clothes and linens based on fabric type, color, and washing instructions.
Load and unload washing, drying, and ironing machines under supervision.
Ensure timely transfer of clothes between different stages of the laundry process.
Help with chemical and detergent preparation as instructed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, machines, and surroundings.
Support machine operators in feeding or collecting items from industrial washers, dryers, and presses.
Assist in folding, ironing, and packaging garments as per company quality standards.
Check for stains, damages, or missing items and report them immediately to the supervisor.
Follow safety protocols while handling machinery and cleaning agents.
Perform any other general labor or maintenance tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Education: Minimum 10th Pass (Preferred)
Experience: 0–6 years (Experience in laundry, housekeeping, or factory operations preferred)
Skills:
Basic understanding of laundry process
Ability to lift moderate weights and perform physical work
Punctual, disciplined, and team-oriented
Willingness to learn and follow instructions
Shift-based work (Day/Night as required)
Standing for long periods and handling moderate lifting
Work environment involves heat, steam, and machine operation
