A carpenter is a skilled professional who builds, installs, repairs, and maintains wooden structures and fixtures such as walls, floors, doors, windows, staircases, cabinets, and furniture. They read blueprints, take measurements, cut and shape wood and other materials, and ensure that the finished products meet building codes, safety regulations, and design expectations. Carpenters work in diverse construction settings, often collaborating with construction teams, and must have good physical stamina, dexterity, and knowledge of woodworking tools and materials.Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, drywall, fiberglass, or other materials.
Build frameworks including walls, floors, doors, windows, staircases, and roofing structures.
Install cabinets, shelving, drywall, insulation, and other fixtures.
Repair and maintain existing wooden structures.
Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and quality control.
Occasionally supervise apprentices and collaborate with other construction workers.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe workspaces.
