Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Business Development Executive is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and driving revenue growth for the organization. The role focuses on lead generation, client acquisition, market expansion, and maintaining long-term customer relationships to achieve business goals.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead Generation and Prospecting

  • Identify potential clients and new market opportunities through research, networking, and cold calling.

  • Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline using CRM tools.

  • Qualify leads based on business potential and requirements.

  • Follow up on inbound inquiries and convert them into sales opportunities.

2. Client Acquisition and Relationship Management

  • Present company products or services to prospective clients effectively.

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and partners.

  • Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements.

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and handle any client concerns promptly.

3. Sales and Revenue Generation

  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets as set by management.

  • Prepare and present business proposals, quotations, and negotiations.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, and finance) to close deals.

  • Maintain records of sales activities and update management with progress reports.

4. Market Research and Business Strategy

  • Conduct market analysis to identify emerging trends, competitors, and new opportunities.

  • Provide feedback to the marketing and product development teams based on client insights.

  • Participate in the development of sales strategies and promotional plans.

  • Contribute to improving sales processes and business models.

5. Networking and Brand Promotion

  • Represent the company at events, exhibitions, and industry meetings.

  • Build professional networks to increase brand visibility and business prospects.

  • Promote the organization’s products/services using digital platforms and marketing tools.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities.

  • Good understanding of sales processes and business development principles.

  • Relationship management and networking skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.

  • 2–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management.
