Key responsibilities

• Food preparation and cooking:

  Cook burgers and other menu items to exact specifications, using various kitchen equipment like grills, fryers, and ovens. Accurately measure and portion ingredients to maintain consistency. 

• Quality control:

  Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards. Monitor food freshness and proper storage, including temperature control. 

• Hygiene and safety:

  Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations. This includes proper food storage and waste disposal. 

• Inventory management:

  Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Ensure proper storage of food items. 

• Team collaboration:

  Work with other kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery. 

• Additional duties:

  Perform opening and closing tasks, assist with customer requests, and train new staff on cooking techniques and food safety. 

Key qualifications and skills

• Proven experience as a chef or in a related field is often preferred.

• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation.

• Familiarity with kitchen equipment.

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
