Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Technician for our Blast Furnace operations in a leading Steel Plant. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy mechanical equipment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment in the Blast Furnace area.

Handle mechanical systems such as pumps, compressors, conveyors, valves, blowers, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Attend equipment breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.

Support during furnace shutdowns, relining, and overhauling activities.

Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and PPE guidelines.

Maintain daily maintenance logs and reports.

Work collaboratively with electrical and instrumentation teams for issue resolution.

Participate in 5S / TPM / Kaizen improvement activities.
