Job Description: Collection Executive

A Collection Executive plays a vital role in the financial health of an organization by ensuring timely recovery of outstanding payments from customers, clients, or vendors. The position requires excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills to maintain positive relationships while effectively managing overdue accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contact customers via phone calls, emails, or visits to remind them of outstanding payments and dues.

• Maintain daily records of interactions, follow-ups, and payment commitments in the company’s database or CRM system.

• Negotiate and agree on repayment plans or settlements while adhering to company policies and legal guidelines.

• Coordinate with internal departments such as Sales, Accounts, and Customer Service to resolve billing disputes or discrepancies.

• Monitor aging reports and prioritize collection efforts based on account risk and outstanding amounts.

• Prepare and submit regular collection reports, highlighting key metrics such as recovery rate, delinquency trends, and customer feedback.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and relevant legal requirements during collection activities.

• Assist in identifying high-risk accounts and recommend appropriate actions such as escalation or legal proceedings.

• Provide excellent customer service by addressing concerns professionally and maintaining a positive company image.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Proven experience (1–3 years) in collections, credit control, or accounts receivable management.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle difficult conversations tactfully.

• Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and familiar with accounting or CRM software.

• Excellent time management, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet recovery targets within deadlines.
