The Technical Sales Executive will be responsible for generating sales, developing new business opportunities, and maintaining strong client relationships in the steel industry. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge of steel products and strong sales skills to provide customized solutions to clients, ensuring growth in market share and revenue.
Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities in the steel industry.
Understand client requirements and recommend suitable steel products (e.g., structural steel, coils, sheets, pipes, bars, alloys, etc.).
Achieve sales targets by developing and implementing effective sales strategies.
Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to clients.
Maintain strong business relationships with existing clients and ensure repeat business.
Prepare and submit quotations, negotiate prices, and close sales deals.
Coordinate with the production, logistics, and quality teams to ensure timely order execution.
Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer needs.
Generate sales reports, forecasts, and maintain CRM data.
Provide feedback to management for product improvement and new business opportunities.
Strong knowledge of steel products, grades, and applications.
Technical understanding of steel manufacturing/processing (preferred).
Proven track record in sales, preferably in B2B industrial/steel markets.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to build long-term client relationships.
Self-motivated, target-driven, and result-oriented.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Metallurgical/Production Engineering, or related field (preferred).
MBA/PGDM in Sales & Marketing (added advantage).
2–5 years of experience in technical sales/business development, preferably in the steel industry.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
Willingness to travel extensively for client meetings and business development.
