Position: Purchase Manager (Solar Division)

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager with in-depth knowledge of the solar industry, including solar panels, inverters, and related components. The ideal candidate should have a strong network of vendors and suppliers, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage procurement efficiently to ensure timely and cost-effective material availability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors and suppliers for solar products (modules, inverters, batteries, structures, cables, etc.).

• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules to achieve cost efficiency without compromising quality.

• Manage procurement planning based on project requirements and timelines.

• Maintain updated vendor databases with strong supplier relationships.

• Ensure all materials meet technical and quality standards as per project and company requirements.

• Collaborate with the Project, Engineering, and Finance teams for seamless material flow.

• Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and new product availability in the solar industry.

• Prepare and maintain purchase reports, budgets, and forecasts.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement regulations.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

• 3–8 years of experience in procurement or purchase management in the solar energy or renewable energy sector.

• Strong knowledge of solar components, inverters, structures, and electrical items.

• Proven track record of vendor development and supply chain management.

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and networking skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and procurement tools.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Attributes:

• Candidates with extensive vendor contacts in the solar sector will be given preference.

• Preference for male candidates (due to frequent travel and site visits).

• Ready to travel across India for vendor meetings and project coordination.
