Store Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and record all incoming materials (e.g., lumber, hardware, fabric) and finished products.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date stock records and inventory levels.

• Conduct regular physical inventory audits to reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and records.

• Implement and enforce stock control procedures, such as First-In, First-Out (FIFO) for materials.

• Organize and store all materials in an efficient, safe, and accessible manner, using designated storage areas, racks, and shelves.

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.

• Issue materials to the production and other departments only against authorized requisitions or material lists.

• Track and manage dispatched finished goods to ensure timely delivery.

• Coordinate with procurement to initiate purchase requisitions for low-stock items and with vendors for deliveries.

• Generate inventory reports for management review.

• Create documentation, such as Material Receiving Reports (MRR).

• Report any damages, discrepancies, or safety issues promptly. 

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience as a storekeeper or in a similar role, preferably in a furniture manufacturing or warehouse environment.

• Strong inventory management skills, including experience with inventory control software or systems.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is often preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with suppliers and internal departments.

• Ability to follow safety and health regulations.
