Industrial Painter

Key Responsibilities

1. Colour Preparation & Mixing

• Prepare accurate color shades as per sample, RAL, Pantone, or customer requirement.

• Mix pigments, masterbatch, chemicals, or powders in correct ratios.

• Maintain color consistency batch-to-batch.

• Conduct color trials and adjust formulation if required.

2. Production Support

• Provide mixed color material to machines on time.

• Support machine operators during changeover for color.

• Maintain records of daily color preparation and usage.

3. Quality Control

• Check shade matching visually or with spectrophotometer (if available).

• Reduce color variation, streaks, peeling, or uneven coating.

• Reject or correct batches that do not meet quality standards.

4. Inventory & Material Handling

• Track stock levels of pigments, masterbatches, solvents, and chemicals.

• Maintain safe storage of hazardous color chemicals.

• Inform purchase department in advance for low-stock items.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare color formulation sheets.

• Maintain daily logs of color consumption and wastage.

• Support QA for customer approval documents.

6. Safety & Compliance

• Follow PPE, safety rules, and chemical handling SOPs.

• Maintain clean and organized color room.
