Dental Assistant

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Support

• Prepare examination and treatment areas before patient appointments.

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, and ensuring patient comfort.

• Take and develop dental X-rays (if qualified and trained).

• Provide chairside support during restorative and surgical procedures.

• Mix dental materials (e.g., cements, impression materials) as directed.

• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and work areas following established protocols.

• Monitor and maintain inventory of dental supplies and restock as needed.

Patient Care

• Greet patients and make them feel comfortable before and during treatment.

• Explain dental procedures and post-treatment instructions to patients.

• Assist patients with paperwork when required.

• Address patient concerns and refer complex issues to the dentist.

Administrative Support

• Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.

• Process patient payments and handle billing or insurance claims as per clinic procedures.

• Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all infection control and safety protocols.

• Comply with HIPAA standards (or local patient privacy laws, in your region).

• Assist in clinic cleanliness and maintenance to meet regulatory standards.

• It is a Full Time Nurse / Compounder job for candidates with 0 - 2 years of experience.
