Tool and Die Maker

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise tool room operations including tool manufacturing, maintenance, and repair.

• Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures.

• Maintain records of tool life, breakdowns, and preventive maintenance schedules.

• Coordinate with production and quality departments to address tool-related issues.

• Support new product development by preparing tools and prototypes as per design.

• Ensure proper calibration and storage of tools and gauges.

• Manage tool inventory, issue tracking, and replacement planning.

• Implement 5S, Kaizen, and other lean manufacturing practices in the tool room.

• Train and guide tool room operators and technicians.

• Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards (ISO / TS / IATF as applicable).
