Production Engineer

Fertilizer Manufacturing Plant

Position Summary

The Production Engineer will lead and manage end-to-end manufacturing operations for Water Soluble Fertilizers (WSF) and Granular/Blended Fertilizers.

The role includes production planning, process optimization, raw material control, FCO compliance, lab documentation, and coordination with QA/QC to ensure quality, efficiency, and regulatory adherence.

This position requires a hands-on, technically strong professional capable of operating in a structured yet growth-oriented manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

A. Production Planning & Execution

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans (up to 30 MT/month).

• Execute manufacturing of:

  • 100% Water Soluble NPK grades

  • Custom blended fertilizers

  • Granular mixtures

• Ensure accurate formulation as per grade (e.g., 19:19:19, 12:61:00, etc.).

• Maintain batch-wise traceability and production records.

• Ensure minimal process loss and optimum yield.

B. FCO & Regulatory Compliance (Critical Responsibility)

• Ensure compliance with Fertilizer Control Order (FCO) norms.

• Maintain and update:

  • Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR)

  • Raw Material COA files

  • Finished Goods Test Reports

  • Label compliance documentation

• Coordinate with laboratory for:

  • Nutrient analysis (N, P₂O₅, K₂O, S)

  • Moisture testing

  • Physical properties

• Assist in government inspections and documentation submission.

• Ensure packaging and labeling as per FCO requirements.

C. Process Monitoring & Control

• Monitor blending homogeneity.

• Control:

  • Moisture levels

  • Particle size uniformity

  • Bulk density

• Ensure correct mixing time and sequence of raw materials.

• Improve Right First Time (RFT) production performance.

D. Inventory & Material Management

• Monitor raw material consumption vs theoretical formulation.

• Control RM variance %.

• Maintain stock register for:

  • MAP, MKP, KNO₃, Urea, MOP, SOP, etc.

  • Packing materials

• Coordinate procurement planning with Director.

• Reduce dead stock and slow-moving inventory.

• It is a Full Time Manufacturing job for candidates with 2 - 6 years of experience.
