Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Fitter & Cutter to join our EV two-wheeler manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fitting, cutting, assembling, and aligning components of electric two-wheelers in accordance with engineering drawings, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions for EV two-wheeler parts and assemblies.
Perform cutting, fitting, drilling, grinding, and assembly of frame components and sub-assemblies.
Work with hand tools, power tools, and cutting machinery to shape and assemble metal and composite parts.
Fit and align mechanical, chassis, and body components to ensure dimensional accuracy.
Support the prototype development and production assembly line for EV scooters/motorcycles.
Ensure adherence to quality control standards and report any deviations or defects.
Collaborate with the welding, fabrication, painting, and electrical assembly teams for integrated build operations.
Maintain tools and workspace in safe and optimal working condition.
Follow all EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) protocols.
Required Skills and Qualifications
ITI / Diploma in Fitter, Mechanical, Automobile, or relevant trade.
2–5 years of hands-on experience in automotive, fabrication, or EV assembly industry preferred.
Proficiency in using cutting machines, grinders, drills, and hand tools.
Ability to understand mechanical drawings and tolerances.
Basic knowledge of chassis, suspension, and frame structures.
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
Team player with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
Preferred Experience
Previous experience in EV or two-wheeler assembly lines.
Exposure to prototype fabrication, jig and fixture setup, or frame fitting.
Understanding of lean manufacturing or 5S principles.
