Job Description – Finance Controller

Experience Required: 4–6 years, with significant exposure in Insurance/Financial Services
Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Finance Controller to lead the company’s financial
management, governance, and compliance functions. The Finance Controller will be responsible for
developing, designing, and managing financial systems and processes, while ensuring strict adherence to
regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Systems & Process Leadership
- Develop and implement robust financial systems, processes, and internal controls.
- Design automation and ERP solutions for efficient financial reporting and compliance.
- Lead budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting processes.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with IRDAI regulations (reporting, filings, solvency, capital adequacy).
- Oversee RBI compliance for treasury, payment systems, and fund management.
- Ensure statutory, tax, GST, FEMA, and Companies Act compliances.
- Establish strong internal audit and risk management systems.
Strategic & Business Partnering
- Provide financial insights to the CEO and Board for business growth decisions.
- Support expansion, product launches, and strategic initiatives through financial modeling.
- Maintain strong relationships with banks, regulators, investors, and financial institutions.
Fundraising & Treasury Management
- Manage working capital, liquidity, and solvency.
- Oversee fundraising activities (equity, debt, and institutional finance).
- Optimize treasury management and capital allocation.
Leadership & Team Development
- Build and mentor a skilled finance and compliance team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and transparency.
- Collaborate closely with business, legal, and operations teams.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong expertise in Insurance finance with exposure to IRDAI and RBI frameworks.
- Proven ability to design and manage financial systems and processes.
- Knowledge of taxation, corporate finance, and risk management.
- Strategic thinker with strong execution and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications & Experience
- Mandatory: Chartered Accountant (CA)/ MBA Masters in Business Administration
- 4–6 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 2–3 years in leadership roles.
- Experience in Insurance / BFSI / FinTech domain is essential.
- Prior hands-on exposure to IRDAI, RBI, and statutory compliances.
