Job Title: Area Sales Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Area Sales Manager (ASM) to lead our sales operations within the assigned territory. The ASM will be responsible for achieving sales targets, expanding market presence, managing the sales team, and developing strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business objectives in the assigned area.

• Manage and motivate a team of Sales Executives / Sales Officers to meet performance targets.

• Identify and appoint new distributors, dealers, and channel partners.

• Maintain strong business relationships with key clients and stakeholders.

• Monitor sales performance, competitor activities, and market trends to identify growth opportunities.

• Conduct regular market visits to ensure brand visibility, product availability, and pricing compliance.

• Prepare and present periodic sales reports, forecasts, and performance reviews.

• Ensure prompt resolution of customer complaints and operational challenges.

• Coordinate with marketing, logistics, and finance teams for smooth business operations.

• Train and develop team members to enhance their skills and product knowledge.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).

• 5–8 years of experience in sales, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.

• Experience in [FMCG / Pharma / Consumer Durables / Industrial Products — customize as per company].

• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing high-performing teams.
