Heavy Driver

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Commercial Driver to transport goods/materials to various destinations efficiently and in compliance with traffic and company regulations. The ideal candidate will have excellent driving skills, a valid commercial driving license, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate commercial vehicles (e.g., trucks, vans, delivery vehicles) as assigned.

• Transport goods/materials to designated locations on time.

• Inspect vehicles before and after each trip and report any mechanical issues.

• Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies.

• Load and unload goods as required, ensuring proper handling and documentation.

• Maintain accurate trip logs, delivery notes, and fuel records.

• Communicate with dispatch and supervisors regarding routes, delays, or incidents.

• Ensure cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle.

• Assist in planning efficient routes to optimize time and fuel usage.

• Handle customer interactions professionally during deliveries/pickups.

Requirements:

• Valid Commercial Driving License (CDL) for appropriate vehicle class.

• Proven experience as a Commercial Driver or relevant role.

• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.

• Ability to operate GPS navigation systems and read route maps.

• Physically fit with the ability to lift, move, and load goods when required.

• Good communication skills and a professional attitude.

• Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime if necessary.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

• Experience in logistics, transportation, or delivery services.

• Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance.

• Customer service or client-facing experience.

• Familiarity with local routes and long-distance driving.
