Department Design
Reporting to Director - Design
Purpose : Study property layout, understand client requirement and prepare drawings . Responsible for
accuracy and on-time handover of drawing to complete project within schedule.

Understanding
Client
Requirement
Study property layout, understand client requirement and prepare basic plan.
Prepare presentation based on basic concepts, area calculations, interior layout and
project view. Consider all work related aspects, do area calculations. Work out
quantity of required material.
Give effective presentation to client about the project. Understand and resolve all
the project related queries to the satisfaction of client.

Finalization of
Design &
Estimate
Take feedback from client on the basic plan and presentation. Understand
suggestions/changes/addtions required in the plan. Do changes in layouts,quantity
& material costing. Give design options to client. Provide support during finalization
of design. Prepare final drawings/3 D designs. Present 3 D design and commercial
proposal to client. Take client approval.
Handover final drawings to on site execution team. Provide guidance and support
during identification of material requirement & onsite challenges as per requirement.

Client
Coordination
& Support
Coordinate with client and provide support for finalization of civil/electrical/plumbing
contractors as per project requirement. Ensure transparency in the selection
process and take all the decisions in consultation with Management.
Maintain cordial relations with clients and provide ongoing update and support
during the planning and execution of project. Ensure client satisfaction.

Monitoring of
Project
Execution
Work
Visit the project site and monitor the execution of work. Ensure work is done as per
given drawings and parameters. Provide guidance to resolve work related queries.
Ensure completion of work as per plan, quality and schedule.

Continual
Improvement
Define work systems and processes for smooth functioning of design department.
Monitor the ongoing performance of design department and assess against defined
goals. Identiy performance gaps and take measures for improvement. Understand
technology/process upgradtion requirements and submit proposal to Management to
improve performance and productivity.

People
Management
Recruit team as per work requirement. Assign tasks to team members and provide
guidance for work management. Set KRAs for team members, assess performance
and give feedback for improvement. Identify training and development needs of
team members. Provide guidance for individual development.

MIS &
Reporting
Compile and provide daily/weekly/monthly reports to Management as per
requirement.
Competencies:
Knowledge Design Concepts & Principles, Project Management, Interior design terminology &
technicalities.
Technical Skills CAD, 3D related softwares, Rivet, Excel, Outlook
Behavioral Skills Leadership, Planning & Organizing Skills, Business Communication ,Presentation
Skills, Client Service, People Management & Result Orientation.
