Interior Site Supervisor

A Site Supervisor manages daily construction site operations, overseeing workers and subcontractors, ensuring projects meet quality, budget, and timeline goals while enforcing strict health, safety, and building code compliance; key duties include planning, scheduling, resource management, inspections, record-keeping (attendance, progress), and liaising with clients/management to resolve issues and maintain standards.  

Key Responsibilities

• Project Oversight:

  Supervise daily activities, interpret blueprints, manage workloads, and ensure adherence to project plans and specifications. 

• Health & Safety:

  Conduct site inspections, identify hazards, enforce safety regulations (PPE use), handle incidents, and train staff on protocols. 

• Team & Resource Management:

  Instruct workers, coordinate subcontractors, manage equipment, order supplies, and maintain attendance/progress logs. 

• Communication & Reporting:

  Liaise with clients, architects, and management; provide progress reports; and attend site meetings. 

• Quality Control:

  Monitor work quality, suggest improvements, and ensure compliance with building codes. 

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and construction tools/equipment.

• Ability to interpret technical documents and blueprints.

• Detail-oriented, organized, and responsible.

• Often requires experience in construction and relevant education (e.g., Civil Engineering). 

Typical Duties

• Conducting regular site inspections.

• Managing worker schedules and tasks.

• Training new employees.

• Maintaining site logs and records.

• Performing first aid in emergencies (basic knowledge).

• Coordinating with various stakeholders (vendors, clients, engineers).
