Interior Designer

An Interior Designer's Job Description (JD) involves transforming indoor spaces by conceptualizing, designing, and overseeing projects from start to finish, focusing on client needs, functionality, and aesthetics, which includes client consultation, space planning, selecting materials/furnishings, creating detailed plans with software (like AutoCAD), managing budgets, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring compliance with codes, resulting in safe, functional, and visually appealing environments. 

Key Responsibilities

• Client Consultation: Meet with clients to understand their vision, needs, budget, and style preferences.

• Design Development: Conceptualize and sketch designs, create mood boards, floor plans, and 3D visualizations.

• Material & Finish Selection: Source and specify furniture, lighting, colors, materials, and accessories.

• Technical Documentation: Produce detailed drawings, specifications, and plans using design software.

• Project Management: Manage timelines, budgets, and project milestones.

• Coordination: Collaborate with architects, contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies.

• Site Supervision: Conduct site visits to oversee installation and ensure adherence to design plans and codes.

• Compliance: Ensure designs meet safety and building codes.
