Role Overview:

As an AutoCAD Designer, you will be responsible for creating detailed furniture designs and shop drawings, interpreting design briefs, and ensuring that concepts are brought to life with accuracy and structural integrity. You will work closely with our design and production teams to ensure designs are practical, buildable, and aligned with our studio’s standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings for furniture products (tables, wardrobes, cabinets, etc.)

• Convert design briefs and concepts into precise technical drawings for production

• Collaborate with designers and carpenters to develop drawings that are aesthetically appealing and production-ready

• Prepare cutting lists, material specifications, and dimensioned drawings

• Revise drawings based on client feedback or technical adjustments

• Maintain organized records of designs and revisions

• Ensure all drawings comply with quality, safety, and functionality standards

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an AutoCAD Designer, preferably in the furniture or interior design industry

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D); knowledge of 3D tools like SketchUp, SolidWorks, or Rhino is a plus

• Strong understanding of furniture materials, hardware, joinery techniques, and construction methods

• Ability to read architectural plans and translate them into custom furniture solutions

• Attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving skills

• Good communication and teamwork skills

Educational Background:

• Diploma/Degree in Interior Design, Furniture Design, Architecture, or related field
