Reporting To: Logistics Manager / Dispatch Head

Job Objective:

To ensure smooth, timely, and cost-effective movement of goods from production units to customers and distributors while maintaining proper coordination with internal teams, transporters, and warehouse staff.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

1. Dispatch Planning & Coordination

   • Plan and monitor daily dispatch schedules as per sales orders and delivery timelines.

   • Coordinate with the production, sales, and stores departments for vehicle loading and dispatch.

   • Prepare and maintain dispatch documents (LR, invoice, e-way bill, challan, etc.).

2. Transportation Management

   • Arrange transport vehicles based on load type, quantity, and destination.

   • Negotiate rates and ensure cost optimization in transportation.

   • Track vehicle movements and ensure on-time delivery.

3. Documentation & Record Keeping

   • Maintain accurate dispatch, delivery, and transporter records.

   • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with GST and transport norms.

   • Verify and record proof of delivery (PODs).

4. Inventory & Warehouse Coordination

   • Coordinate with stores and warehouse staff for stock availability and dispatch readiness.

   • Monitor loading/unloading activities to prevent material damage or shortage.

5. Vendor & Transporter Management

   • Build and maintain relationships with transporters and logistics partners.

   • Evaluate transporter performance and resolve issues related to delivery delays or damages.

6. Reporting & MIS

   • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly dispatch and logistics reports.

   • Track logistics costs and assist in budgeting and cost control.

7. Safety & Compliance

   • Ensure all dispatch operations follow company safety, hygiene, and security standards.

   • Adhere to statutory transport regulations and company SOPs.

Key Skills Required:

• Strong coordination and communication skills.

• Good knowledge of logistics operations and documentation.

• Proficiency in MS Excel / ERP systems.

• Ability to handle multiple shipments and prioritize effectively.

Qualification & Experience:

• Education: Graduate in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Commerce.

• Experience: 2–4 years in dispatch/logistics in manufacturing or FMCG industry.
