Key duties and responsibilities

• Guest relations: Greet customers as they arrive, present menus, and guide them to their tables.

• Order taking: Take accurate food and drink orders, answer questions about the menu, and make recommendations or suggest specials.

• Serving and delivery: Promptly and accurately deliver food and beverages to tables from the kitchen or bar.

• Customer satisfaction: Check on customers throughout their meal to ensure their satisfaction and address any issues or complaints.

• Payment processing: Prepare bills for customers and accurately handle cash or credit card transactions.

• Table maintenance: Clear tables, reset them for the next guests, and perform other cleaning duties to maintain a clean and organized dining area.

• Coordination: Communicate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure orders are correct and delivered on time.

• Health and safety: Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations.
