Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Senior Technician to oversee and execute the preventive and corrective maintenance activities at our Solar PV Plants installed in Mizoram. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in solar power systems, with a deep understanding of plant operations, troubleshooting, and system performance optimization. This role involves both fieldwork and reporting responsibilities and is critical to ensuring plant uptime and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine preventive maintenance of solar modules, inverters, transformers, SCADA systems, and electrical panels (HT & LT side).
• Conduct troubleshooting and repair of electrical and electronic systems including string monitoring, inverter alarms, and grid connectivity issues.
• Monitor plant performance using SCADA/data loggers and identify underperformance or faults proactively.
• Supervise and support junior technicians and contract labor during maintenance activities, ensuring safety and quality.
• Ensure proper documentation of maintenance logs, incident reports, test results, and inventory updates.
• Coordinate with the OEMs and service providers for major equipment servicing or warranty claims.
• Assist in energy audits, thermography inspections, IV curve tracing, and other performance diagnostic tests.
• Implement corrective actions based on root cause analysis of system failures
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Diploma / ITI in Electrical, Electronics, or relevant field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in O&M of utility-scale solar PV plants (5MWp or higher).
• Strong understanding of solar PV technology, inverter operation, HT/LT systems, and grid connectivity.
• Hands-on experience with tools like multimeter, thermal camera, insulation tester.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems, monitoring portals, and data interpretation.
• Good communication skills and ability to lead a small team.
• Willingness to work in remote locations and outdoor conditions.
Working Conditions:
• On-site, field-based role with physical activity.
• 6-day working week (with flexibility based on maintenance schedules).
• Rotational shifts or emergency duty availability when required.
Compensation:
• Fixed pay of Rs. 33k in hand. PF shall be paid over and above this.
• Additional benefits include daily allowance, company accommodation, and bonus and leave pay as per statutory norms (after completion of 1 year)
