Maintenance Technician

Job responsibilities:

• Kitchen equipment maintenance: Perform routine inspections, cleaning, and repairs on equipment like ovens, fryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, and ice machines to ensure optimal performance and food safety.

• Emergency repairs: Respond immediately to emergency maintenance requests to minimize downtime and food spoilage.

• Facility upkeep: Conduct general building maintenance, including minor repairs to structures, painting, and ensuring the grounds are clean and presentable.

• HVAC and plumbing: Maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and exhaust systems, as well as plumbing fixtures, drains, and water heaters.

• Electrical systems: Inspect and service electrical systems, lighting fixtures, and circuit breakers.

• Inventory and ordering: Help manage inventory for parts and supplies and work with management to order replacements. 
  Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in a similar role is often required.

• Technical skills: In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and HVAC systems is essential.

• Diagnostics: The ability to use diagnostic tools to identify and fix issues is crucial.

• Safety: A strong commitment to safety and hygiene standards is a must.

• Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving abilities are needed to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.

• Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary to report issues and work with management and staff.

• Flexibility: Ability to work overtime, including weekends and evenings, and be available for on-call emergencies is often required
