HVAC Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MEP Design Engineer with strong technical expertise in HVAC, Firefighting, and Plumbing (Drainage & Water Supply) systems. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with international design codes and be capable of handling design works for diverse commercial and residential projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and evaluate mechanical design systems for HVAC, Drainage, Water Supply, and Firefighting (including Smoke Control and LPG systems).

• Prepare MEP design drawings in compliance with ASHRAE, SMACNA, IPC, NFPA, NBC, BS, and UAE Fire Code standards.

• Perform Heat Load Calculations, ESP Calculations, Duct and Pipe Sizing, Pump Head Calculations, and Water Tank Sizing.

• Prepare Civil Defence Drawings and coordinate with local authority requirements.

• Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and contractors for project execution.

• Apply creative design solutions across various project types including villas, warehouses, schools, and high-rise buildings.

• Perform value engineering to optimize system efficiency and project cost.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in AutoCAD, HAP (Hourly Analysis Program), McQuay Duct Sizer, Pipe Sizer, and MS Office.

• Working knowledge of Electrical Systems will be an added advantage.

• Strong understanding of local authority submission procedures and MEP coordination.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP design with proven track record in HVAC, Firefighting, and Plumbing systems.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
