About the Role:
We are seeking a creative and technically skilled Graphic Designer & WordPress Developer to join our team. You will be the owner of our digital visual identity, responsible for taking a project from a concept and a mock-up to a fully functional, responsive, and beautiful website. This role is perfect for a hybrid professional who is as passionate about pixel-perfect design as they are about clean, efficient code.

Key Responsibilities:

Graphic Design (50%):

• Design visually compelling graphics for web and digital platforms, including website layouts, landing pages, banners, social media graphics, email templates, and marketing collateral.

• Create and maintain a consistent brand identity across all digital touchpoints.

• Translate marketing and business objectives into creative designs that enhance user experience and drive conversion.

• Prepare detailed UI/UX mock-ups, wireframes, and prototypes (using Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch) for stakeholder approval.
  

WordPress Development (50%):

• Convert approved design mock-ups into fully functional, responsive, and cross-browser compatible WordPress websites using a combination of themes (like Astra, GeneratePress) and custom development.

• Customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet specific functional requirements.

• Implement on-page SEO best practices during development (proper heading tags, image optimization, schema markup, etc.).

• Ensure high performance, manageability, and security of the WordPress site.

• Perform website updates, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

• Manage web hosting (e.g., cPanel) and domain-related tasks.

Qualifications & Skills:

Must-Haves:

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in both graphic design and WordPress development.

• A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in both UI/UX design and live WordPress websites you have built.

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and/or Figma.

• Strong front-end development skills: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (jQuery), and PHP.

• Extensive experience with WordPress, including custom theme and plugin development, and working with page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg).

• Proven experience in creating responsive designs that work perfectly on mobile, tablet, and desktop.

• Excellent visual design sense with a keen eye for typography, layout, color theory, and spacing.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with marketing and other teams.

Good-to-Haves:

• Experience with WooCommerce development.

• Basic knowledge of SEO principles.

• Experience with performance optimization tools (GTmetrix, PageSpeed Insights).

• Knowledge of Git for version control.
