Role Summary:
Execute day-to-day food preparation, cooking, service and basic housekeeping tasks following SOPs to consistently deliver safe, tasty and timely orders. Work as part of a fast-moving team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Food preparation: Prepare ingredients (batter, vegetables, masalas), follow recipes
2. Cooking & service: Operate assigned stations (idli steaming, dosa tawa, rice bowls assembly, medu vada frying, appe pans), ensure portion control and plating standards.
3. Order fulfilment: Read POS tickets promptly, prioritize orders and handover to service staff.
4. Hygiene & cleaning: Maintain personal hygiene, clean work area, wash utensils, and follow waste segregation procedures.
5. Stock & storage: Label received goods, rotate stock (FIFO), report low stock to Shift Lead/Store Manager.
6. Customer interaction: Provide polite service when assigned to counter; handle simple customer requests.
Typical Tasks — daily / weekly / monthly:
Daily: Prep station, cook & serve during shift, clean station, assist in closing tasks.
Weekly: Deep-clean of equipment/stations and participate in short training drills.
Monthly: Attend cross-training sessions to cover multiple stations.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum basic education. 0–2 years experience in QSR or kitchen role preferred. On-the-job training provided.
