Staff Nurse

Job Title: Nursing Staff

Department: Clinical / Patient Care

Reports To: Care Manager / Nursing Supervisor

Location: Hospital / Home Care / Assisted Living Facility

Job Summary

The Nursing Staff is responsible for providing quality nursing care to patients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. The role includes administering medications, monitoring patient health, assisting doctors, and supporting patients and families with compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care

Monitor and record vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, oxygen saturation)

Administer medications and injections as prescribed by the physician

Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, feeding, mobility, and toileting

Provide wound care, catheter care, tracheostomy care, and IV care as required

Observe patient condition and report any changes to the doctor or care manager

Clinical Support

Assist doctors during medical rounds and procedures

Maintain accurate nursing notes and patient records

Ensure proper use and maintenance of medical equipment

Follow infection control and safety protocols

Patient & Family Support

Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and precautions

Provide emotional support to patients and caregivers

Maintain patient dignity, privacy, and confidentiality

Coordination & Compliance

Coordinate with doctors, physiotherapists, and caregivers

Follow hospital/home care policies and nursing ethics

Ensure compliance with medical and legal standards

Qualifications

GNM / ANM / B.Sc Nursing

Valid Nursing Council Registration

Minimum 1–3 years of experience (Freshers may apply)

Knowledge of patient care procedures and emergency response

Skills Required

Strong clinical and observation skills

Compassionate and patient-focused approach

Good communication skills (Hindi/English preferred)

Ability to work in shifts and handle emergencies

Teamwork and time management skills

Work Environment

Hospital, Home Care, Assisted Living, or Nursing Facility

Shift-based duties (Day/Night)

Physically and emotionally demanding role
