Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (horizontal, vertical, overhead).
Operate angle grinders and other tools to prepare metal parts for welding.
Inspect and ensure quality of welded surfaces, and identify defects or problems.
Perform welding on a variety of metals, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
Use appropriate safety gear and follow all company and OSHA safety standards.
Maintain welding equipment and tools in proper working condition.
Collaborate with engineers, fabricators, and other team members to meet project requirements.
Complete all welding-related documentation, logs, or reports as required.
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification in welding preferred.
Proven experience as a welder (minimum [X] years).
Proficiency in MIG, TIG, Stick, and/or Flux-Core welding (depending on role).
Knowledge of metallurgy and the behavior of metals during the welding process.
Familiarity with welding symbols, drawings, and welding codes (e.g., AWS standards).

Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills related to metal work and welding equipment.

Exposure to high heat, bright light, sparks, and heavy equipment.
May involve working in tight or elevated spaces.
Use of PPE (gloves, helmet, mask, boots, etc.) is mandatory.
Potential shift work, overtime, or weekend hours depending on project deadlines.
