Designation: Welder

Experience:- 2+ years

Job Location :- Pune (Chikhali)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Interpret Technical Drawings

Read and understand blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding symbols to determine job requirements.

2. Material Preparation

Select, measure, and cut metal components to required sizes using tools like grinders, saws, or cutting torches.

3. Setup of Welding Equipment

Configure and calibrate welding machines (e.g., MIG, TIG, SMAW) according to material and job specifications.

4 Execute Welding Tasks

Perform various welding operations on structures, pipes, frames, and fittings according to approved procedures.

5 Weld Quality Control

Conduct visual and mechanical inspection of welds to ensure compliance with standards and tolerances.

6 Safety Compliance

Follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE (helmet, gloves, apron, goggles) and safe handling of equipment.

7 Post-Weld Cleaning

Clean and finish welds using grinders, chisels, or brushes to remove slag and ensure clean joints.

8. Maintenance of Equipment

Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on welding machines and tools to ensure operational efficiency.

9. Documentation and Reporting

Record welding operations, materials used, and completion times in job sheets or logbooks.

10 Team Collaboration

Work closely with engineers, fabricators, and other welders to ensure efficient project completion.

Qualifications & Skills

Education:
• SPM or equivalent
• SKM Level 2/3 in Welding Technology or equivalent (TVET, CIDB, JPK)

Certifications (Preferred):
• Certified Welder (CIDB / CSWIP / AWS / ISO 9606-1)
• Safety & Health Passport (e.g., OSHA, NIOSH)

Technical Skills:
• Proficient in SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings and welding codes
• Skilled in using hand tools and cutting equipment

Soft Skills:
• Strong attention to detail
• Team player with good communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Working Conditions
• May involve working in confined spaces, high places, or hot environments
• Requires long periods of standing, lifting, and handling heavy equipment
• May involve shift work, weekend hours, or overtime, depending on project demands.
