This role to deliver the supplier performance quality improvements, parts development mostly precision mechanical parts and pressure vessel parts, Supplier process/parts audit, be an enabler to promote latest inspection techniques, testing. This role has 60% travel to supplier place.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

·         Includes both Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development. Includes supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence.

·         SQEs have various levels of differentiation which are related to level of technical understanding of engineering drawings and ability to manage vendors.

·         Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults People Leader or more senior team members for issues outside of defined parameters.

·         Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships.

·         Co-ordinate with Sourcing and Supplier performance Team for on-boarding new supplier as per Supplier Quality Policy.

·         Establish and ensure the implementation of the Quality Plan and If any customer Quality plan

·         Conduct monthly Quality reviews and corrective actions of suppliers. Manage to perform root cause analysis (RCA) and lead other quality related engagements.

·         Continuous Improvement mind set to recommend, request and implement actions for improvement to prevent non-conformities and improve process performance based on supplier audits.

·         Team work

Required Skill & Qualifications

·         Diploma / Graduate Engineer certificate

·         2 to 5 years of experience in Quality

·         Exposure to Supplier audits, evaluation and ISO 9001:2015

·         Knowledge on Problem-Solving Methodologies and Tools

·         Knowledge on castings, machining, forging, plating/painting process

·         Customer focused

·         Excellent liaison attitude

Desired Characteristics

·         Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

·         Willing to travel often to supplier sites.
