Purchase Executive

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Purchase Executive specializing in Basmati Rice procurement. The ideal candidate should have strong market knowledge, supplier networks, and a deep understanding of rice quality parameters to ensure cost-effective and high-quality sourcing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procure Basmati Rice from reliable millers, suppliers, and brokers across key markets.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with rice millers and mandi agents.

• Evaluate rice quality (grain length, aroma, aging, moisture, etc.) before purchase.

• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with vendors.

• Monitor market trends, crop patterns, and price fluctuations.

• Maintain accurate purchase records and MIS reports in Excel.

• Coordinate with quality and production teams for smooth operations.

Key Requirements:

• Experience: 3–5 years in Basmati Rice purchasing/procurement.

• Strong understanding of rice quality and grading standards.

• Well-established network of rice millers, suppliers, and brokers.

• Proficiency in MS Excel (basic to intermediate level).

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

• Willingness to travel frequently.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Background in agri-commodities or FMCG procurement.

• Practical exposure to rice mills and processing units.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet procurement targets.
