Phlebotomist - Home Collection

• Visit patients’ homes or designated collection points as per schedule.

• Collect blood and other biological samples (urine, sputum, etc.) following proper phlebotomy techniques.

• Ensure accurate patient identification, labeling, and documentation of samples.

• Maintain aseptic techniques and follow infection control protocols.

• Store and transport collected samples to the laboratory within the stipulated time frame, maintaining sample integrity.

• Handle and dispose of biomedical waste as per safety guidelines.

• Maintain patient confidentiality and provide courteous service.

• Report any sample collection issues or patient concerns to the Lab Incharge.

• Maintain records of home visits, sample collection logs, and receipts.

• Ensure availability and maintenance of phlebotomy kits, consumables, and PPE
