MERN Stack Developer

We are hiring a Backend Developer skilled in Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB, with experience in building RESTful APIs and working with scalable backend architectures. You will collaborate closely with our frontend, DevOps, and product teams to develop and deploy robust backend services for our web applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js.

• Work with MongoDB (Mongoose) to create efficient and optimised database schemas and queries.

• Build scalable, secure, and maintainable backend solutions.

• Integrate third-party APIs and services (e.g., payment gateways, cloud storage, video streaming APIs, etc.).

• Collaborate with frontend developers and contribute to full-stack development when needed.

• Optimise backend performance and troubleshoot production issues.

• Follow best practices for code quality, testing, and documentation.

• Deploy applications on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or similar).

Requirements

• 1-3 years of professional experience in backend development with the MERN stack.

• Strong proficiency in Node.js and Express.js.

• Experience working with MongoDB and Mongoose.

• Familiarity with JWT authentication, API security, and user authorisation flows.

• Hands-on experience with version control (Git/GitHub).

• Familiarity with cloud services like AWS S3, Lambda, or GCP is a plus.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation is an added advantage.

• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
