Position Title: Senior Accountant

Experience:  4 - 7 Years in accounting, taxation, audit, and compliance 

Qualification:  Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Master’s Degree in Commerce; CA Inter or CMA Inter (part-qualified Chartered/Cost Accountant)

Location: Andheri (E), Mumbai

About the role:

The Senior Accountant role is designed for professionals with strong expertise in accounting, taxation, compliance, and financial audits. The position involves handling end-to-end accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting business operations with financial insights. The candidate will play a critical role in financial reconciliation, compliance with statutory requirements, and management of audits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in internal, statutory, and tax audits with required schedules and documentation.

• Perform general ledger and sub-ledger reconciliations.

• Support the preparation of financial statements and year-end closing.

• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.

• Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.

• Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure accurate reporting.

• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting and tax regulations.

Required Skills Set:  

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in ERP / Tally Prime and MS Excel.

  • Strong understanding of GST, TDS, and Indian Accounting Standards.

  • Familiarity with financial reconciliation, ledger scrutiny, and compliance audits.

  • Preparation and filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, Annual Returns).

  • Reconciliation of GST input tax credit with books of accounts.

  • Ensuring timely payment of GST liability and compliance with GST regulations.

  • Handling GST audits, assessments, and notices.

  • Accurate deduction and timely deposit of TDS as per statutory requirements.

  • Preparation and filing of quarterly TDS returns (Form 24Q, 26Q, etc.).

  • Generating and issuing TDS certificates (Form 16, Form 16A).

  • Ensuring compliance with TDS provisions and handling related queries/notices.

• Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Effective communication abilities.

Nice-to-Have (Preferred):

·       Certification in GST, TDS, or Advanced Excel

·       Exposure to other ERP/Accounting systems such as SAP, Zoho Books, etc.
